Ephesians 1:6 – accepted in the Beloved
v.3 – in Christ

Where does our acceptance come from? In the Beloved, in Christ.

v.10 – everything summed up in Him
v.11 – who we are & what we are living for.

We need to take on the thinking of Christ.
How does the Word speak of you?
Chosen, royal, special
How does that line up with what you think of yourself?
Who you are is in Christ.
Live according to that.
Look into the mirror of God’s Word.
Build your security & identity according to the Word.
It will change your life.

Marks of security in Christ –

1. You don’t have to tear others down to build yourself up (Ephesians 4:32 – Be kind to one another)

2. You see inner convictions more the mark of a man than being tough outwardly

3. A person who forgives even when another doesn’t apologise

4. You find gifted people an inspiration, not a threat.

5. You know how to take the garbage dealt to you & turn it into a positive (eg. Joseph)
