throne def. a chair occupied by an exalted person, such as a sovereign or bishop
(so it’s not about the chair but the person on it?!)
Satan has a throne (Rev 2:13), 24 Elders have a throne (Rev 4:4), The One has a throne
(Rev 5:1), David’s throne (Jeremiah 22:2) & more....
CHRYSANTHEMUM THRONE – throne of the Emperor of Japan. Emperor in Japanese literally means “heavenly sovereign”. The Emperor is also high priest of the Shinto faith, although his divine power was renounced after World War 2. The chrysanthemum (“kiku” in Japanese) flower is the coat of arms of the Emperor.
The Emperor of Japan is the last remaining Emperor in the world.
This throne is apparently the oldest monarchy in the world, established 660BC by Emperor Jimmu. Current emperor is Akihito (1989-present)

Denmark has the 2nd longest consecutive line of succession behind Japan.
St Edward’s Chair (or King Edward’s chair or the Coronation Chair)at Westminster Abbey. Queen Elizabeth2 sat in this chair at her coronation in 1953 & as Queen of Canada, there is a throne for her & her husband in the Canadian Senate in Ottawa.
The Pope has the “Sedia Gestatoria” – a portable throne & there is also a papal crown.
