MARK 4, PSALM 23, PROVERBS 4:24-27
MARK 4
Are you a sower?
More than one seed is needed for a crop.
Harvesting is a process, not an event.
We reap what we sow.
Expect fruit.
Inside the fruit is more seed.
PSALM 23
This is read at my family's funerals, even for unbelievers who have passed away. Interesting. Why is that? Comforting? Maybe it's because of the mention of death in v.4 - dunno?!
The Lord needs to be your shepherd & provision (v.1), your peace (v.2), your pardon (v.3), your partner (v.4), your preparation (v.5) this side of death!
In other words, ask the Lord to be your Lord today. Go on, just ask, speak to Him in prayer. Get to know Him in the Bible, be reconciled to Him, then you will dwell in His presence forever (v.6)
PROVERBS 4:24-27
Don't lie. ( Exodus 20:16)
Don't speak of perverse things.
Look ahead (Pillar of salt - Genesis 19:26)
Consider where you walk. Choose only firm foundations (rock v. sand) & level paths.
Keep your feet from evil. Don't be found standing in the wrong spot!
