JOSHUA 1, PSALM 3, PROV 1:8-9

Repeated command - "Be strong & of good courage" v. 6,7,9,18
Repeated so I think worth noting....writer was making a point

Psalm 3:5 - Pray for these sort of nights

Psalm 3:3 - Shield. I like what Brian Houston said about this - God has our back!

Prov 1:10-19 - Avoid ungodly counsel (like Psalm 1)

Colossians 2, Psalm 2:1-6, Proverbs 1:3-4

Ephesians 6:12 - We wrestle against principalities & powers
Col 2:10 - Christ is the head of all principalities & powers
Col 2:15 - Christ disarmed the principalities & powers, making a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Starting a daily bible reading plan today with many others in cyberspace on Phil Baker's blog http://philbaker.net Great idea cos we can basically have a cell in cyberspace & share our revelations & any commentaries we are reading & encourage one another - well here it goes......

Colossians 1, Psalm 1, Prov 1:1,2
Col 1:4-10 John Maxwell states that this is about teachability. Paul encouraged readers to be lifelong learners. You are teachable if you are changing.
Col 1:13-20 Maxwell's Law of Respect. Paul was a strong leader but Jesus is superior.

Psalm 1 - Maxwell's Law of the Inner Circle. Be careful where you get your counsel. Very important point!

Prayer focus - Col 1:11 "strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy"
