Japanese mobile trend

Apparently it's not cool to send emails to friends anymore in Japan especially if you are a youth.

They write down a message on a piece of paper, take a photo of it and send it as a picture message to their friends from a handy phone (or cell or mobile)

Anyone do this?

Sounds difficult.. lol.
That is unless all the photos are of high-quality and that you can actually read people's handwritings & letter size. Hehe.

Probably the thing to do when you write in Kanji!

some of my friends did a similar thing last year when vodafone offered free picture messaging as it was free and a text msg cost 25C.

however i think its pretty stupid. why not just send a text.

I have been known to send a picture msg of my outfit to a friend for advice! Does that count?
